Web Site Automation
The promise of the World Wide Web is that Web sites will provide the very latest information
about whatever you want to know about.
The reality is that many Web sites contain information which is out of date, sometimes
embarrassingly so.
There are many reasons why this happens. Often it is simply due to the time it takes time
to prepare information, send it to a busy Web master and wait for them to
make the changes.
We believe that a client should be able to
change their own time sensitive information, such as prices, regular
newsletters/updates, products, special offers, events and scores.
Whip Interactive has developed technology to enable clients to do this quickly
and easily using on-line updaters, without knowledge of HTML or use of
proprietary software. A member of the organization can update the
information by going to a private or password-protected page on the
Web site and using an on-line form. If the information is currently in a
word processing document there is no need to type it twice - just copy and
paste into the on-line form.
In some cases, this can be taken a step further and information is changed
automatically, without human intervention. Examples include real-time news feeds, weather reports,
and stock quotes.
